The Royal Station Hotel - Carnforth

I was there for 2 nights and ate at tapas restaurant with exceptionally good food. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom was upgraded. Moreover, I parked on-site. The location of the hotel was marvellous - not too far from Docker Park Farm.

Enjoyable base for discovering Carnforth.

The room we had included iron/ironing board, a work desk, and an electric kettle. The hotel's staff was outstandingly accommodating and exceptionally accommodating. The property was in a favourable location, after the refurbishment.

The family room was well maintained and en suite.

There was bar to be added.

Make sure to try the tapas. the flavors are exceptional, especially the croquettes and squid.

Would recommend for a weekend

Spacious, modern and clean rooms, comfortable mattresses that ensured a good night's sleep and complimentary beverages that my son enjoyed. The hotel is conveniently located overlooking the historic railway station made famous by a classic film.

The hotel was lovely and really nicely decorated, our budget family room was spacious and well-appointed. The staff were super cute and helped with everything we needed. Breakfast had a great choice, and the overall vibe was friendly and chill. We loved being right next to the carnforth heritage centre too.

The Royal offered a good stay, highlighted by the spacious and clean Twin Room Ensuite Bath with ample amenities like tea and biscuits. The dining experience was really good, especially the tapas that showcased vibrant flavors and high-quality ingredients. The staff were attentive and quick to assist.

The only downside was some street noise that could be heard occasionally from the room.

The dining options at The Royal are a treat! Enjoy the delicious offerings, especially at the cozy restaurant where the chef cooks up a storm. Plus, it's just a stone's throw from fab local spots like Sizzle Inn and Peking Takeaway for when you're feeling peckish. The staff were genuinely friendly, made a huge difference!

I did struggle a bit with no proper desk for work, and the mini fridge was a bit dodgy. We had a towel hiccup and some cleaning lapses, which didn't sit right for the £90 price tag. The street parking was a pain too.

I stayed here for a night and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the delicious tapas! Minor traffic noise in the evening was a slight inconvenience, but the friendly staff and great dining experience made it all worthwhile.

The rooftop drinking and dining experience is a real gem, especially with views that add a special touch to your meal. Tapas offerings showcase fresh ingredients and range from flavorful seafood to mouthwatering meat dishes.

Noise from adjacent rooms and common areas can disrupt sleep, particularly if you're near the main entrance where foot traffic is constant. Some fixtures in the bathroom could use better placement. The taps, for instance, seem a bit inconvenient to operate, and the extractor fan in the bathroom runs for an eternity after the light is turned off.

The food was good, particularly the tapas options served in a cozy atmosphere. The staff were attentive.

wifi was spotty at times.

I loved the vintage train journey just a short walk away. The room was super clean with great amenities like tea and biscuits. Plus, the decor had a classy vibe.
